March 2018
'Look at her man! Isn't she so hot!", Nitin said with that flirtatious tone.
"Damn again Nitin. Why are you so obsessed with girls?", I screamed at him.
"God! I am just falling for her, Sam", he gasped at the girl.
"Do you really think this is what love is? You cannot fall in love right at the moment you see her", I burst in.
"Really. Well then Do you really have a better explanation of what the fuck is love and when is the right moment to fall in love?" His liquor voice blabbered.

I drove him home and returned to my room.
I made a coffee and checked my official emails at the end of the day. My phone buzzed playing," We don't talk anymore like we used to do!"
I picked up and Nitin on the other side in his hangover voice said, "Bhai! I Love you! Thanks for dropping me home!"
"Fuck your thanks, Nitin. Shut up and sleep", I said smiling relentlessly and hung up.
When I tried to recall those conversations, Nitin's words struck me.
"Do I really have any better explanation of what the fucking love is?", I starred at my sand clock. There is my story. This sand clock is a gift from a cozy lass.

Bangalore 2014
It was the first day of my office in that new city. I had a bored induction and badly wanted some caffeine to overcome my boredness and get ready for the next session.
I went out of the conference hall and saw a girl. She was wearing a pink tinge kurta with blue jean matching floral earrings.
"Hey, would you help me in finding where the cafeteria is? I am new here. I just badly in need of some coffee."
"Hey! Sure!! Go straight and take left at the corner you will find the coffee lounge.", her eyes spoke.

It was a mundane week and I made a weekend hanging out with some of my friends to the movie and shopping.

The following Monday, I have been assigned to a project. The manager introduced me to the team members.
That pink Salwar, surprisingly, I saw her again!
I smiled at her and she smiled back with her eyes.
"Hey! I am Sam", I said.
"Hey Hi Swetha. It's good to have you on our team! Welcome", She said.

Programming life! It really sucks. But one good thing that I have is a gorgeous lady who always got my back when I sink sometimes.
Its been hectic for every programmer when the project is on deliverable stage.
We have become close friends in those days solving bugs, cracking jokes and reading memes.
I have never seen her making friends with anyone there except me.

The days passed by.
She laughs at me, taunts me, fights with me.
Whenever she needs scrutiny, "Stop playing COC!", " Don't Waste your time in playing games, Sam", "Listen to me, Sam", She continues to lecture when she fails to get my attention.
I found her so addictive than playing my COC!
"Sam! You know what? I have never seen a stupid programmer like you!, You don't even know to handle a null pointer exception? ", Swetha yelled.
"Well, yeah! Some exceptions are better left not to be handled Swetha!"
"Oh Really! Then your code sucks man!", She said and adjusted her strands of hair fallen to hide her eyes.
So that is where the real problem for the guys is! Those unhandled exceptional eyes of women.

The following day, I dropped in her place.
In a way to her hostel, she told me that she was raised by an independent mother without the support of her father.
My respect for her raised when she continuously praises about her mother who struggled a lot enough to bring up a girl like Swetha.
When I am about to drop she handed to me a gift and said,
"Sam, You are a time killer! Use your time wisely and Happy birthday to the world's worst programmer"
I unwrapped the gift and spotted a sand clock inscribed "waste your time or master your time".
"Wow! Amazing! Swetha I should master so many things and yes, thanks for this. I will keep things up", I said and gathered my inner guts to ask her out for tomorrow.
"Swetha! Can you come with me for the dinner tomorrow if you don't have any plans? And
My inner voice edged, "Wait! What??? I am just asking a girl for a dinner date night!", I reminisced and paused for her reply.
"Sure, Sam!It's your birthday", She said.
"Good Night! see you tomorrow", I smiled and waved a bye to her.

My birthday, 2014
That was my most rememberable and memorable night. She made it to the dinner wearing long wine red maxi matching stilettos.
I took a lot of efforts and told her, "hey you look so gorgeous".
She blushed and her face turned pale.
We had our dinner.
In that beautiful night, I felt like a thousand suns have landed on the earth and shone brighter.
My eyes out of control gazed at her more than a thousand times.
Suddenly our eyes met.
"Sam! I wanted to tell you something!", She said.
I was awestruck what she is going to talk about.
"What that My programming sucks", I mocked at her and we both giggled at a moment.
"Sam! You are so different from other people! I haven't talked to so many people. But there is something with you.
A kind gesture, A secured feeling when I'm with you which I don't feel with anyone else. I really don't know why I like you this much. If this is what people call it love,
Yes, Sam! I am in love with you", She said.

There was a classic Bgm with few girls dressed as angels danced circling me. I was hopeless and helplessly grinning," Swetha! What you just said. I...", my words stumbled.
When I gathered enough words to speak, her phone rang.
She picked up and sounded so serious.
"Sam! It's my mom and she is sick! I have to go!" She said.
On hearing her words, my legs finally landed.

I drop her at the bus stop and handed her a water bottle.
I just badly wanted to tell her that I love her, but this is not the right time.
"Swetha! Go safely! And take care of mom! Call me once when things are fine", I said and waved bye.

I went to my room and evoked the way she stated those words and rehearsed how should I say her that I love her when she is back.

The next day morning I went to an office.
I missed her badly. I miss her eyes. I miss her annoying. I miss everything about her. I texted in WhatsApp saying that I miss her.
But the message was undelivered.
In the evening, I went to a jewelry shop and purchased a diamond ring for my girl.  The following night I called her to know how her mother was.  The mobile was switched off.

Days passed like these. I haven't heard a word from her.
It was indeed very hard days in my life without her.
I tried irrespective of many ways to contact her friends and to the people who knew her.
They also have no idea of where the hell she has been! There are days where I stayed up a long night to figure out information about her.
She just disappeared like anything. I only have her memories.

I am an insane looser looking for my disappeared girl over the past 3years.  Like she said even I'm clueless about what people call love is. If this is so-called love, I will wait for her forever.

Holding a diamond ring in my hand hopefully,  looked at the time.It is 11.15 p.m.
"Arrghh!! My head is aching!", and that's what the worst part of a hangover. I turned off the night lamp and closed my eyes to sleep.

Suddenly my phone beeped.
"Fuck, Nitin! If this is again you, I wouldn't think of a second to kill you", I cursed Nitin and turned on the bedlight.
I looked at the time. It is 11.35PM. I checked my phone.
It is a call from an unknown number. My adrenaline rushed through as usual with the same expectation if I receive a call from an unknown number,
I answered the call with the same astonishment hoping it is from her.
